Bob Vernon

Bob Vernon is the author of the Adventure Rhyme picture books for ages 3 to 8. He is a former early childhood educator and grandfather of seven who founded Adventure Rhyme in 2018 in Richardson, Texas, and has researched his stories in more than 80 countries across all seven continents.

Bob is a children's author, a former early childhood educator, and a seven-time grandfather. He founded Adventure Rhyme in 2018 in Richardson, Texas with one mission: creating magical stories that inspire young minds and hearts.

He has travelled to more than 80 countries on all seven continents, and every book starts with a real place he has stood in: a Galápagos beach warm underfoot, an Icelandic cliff loud with puffins. He and his wife Jan lived in the Netherlands for nearly five years.

Every first draft is written by hand, out loud, until the rhythm is right. And on the desk beside him sits a plastic iguana named Lana, who has been in the room for every single page.
